This Election Will Define Us

On November 8, 2025, the people of Anambra State will go to the polls to elect a new governor. This election will not just select a leader — it will determine whether we truly deserve the title “Light of the Nation.”  For three years, our state has been paralyzed. Insecurity has driven entire communities into exile. Towns like Lilu, Mbosi, and Orsumoghu have become ghost towns. Kidnapping, cult violence, and extortion have replaced peace and productivity. The so-called security outfit created by the current government now preys on the very people it was meant to protect.  Since taking office, this governor, who branded himself “Mr. Solution” has never set foot in Ihiala, one of the largest and most troubled local governments in the state. Ihiala deserves protection, not abandonment.

Anambra Today: A State in Decline

Anambra’s infrastructure is collapsing. Over 70% of state roads are in poor condition. No functional drainage systems in most local governments; floods cut off communities each rainy season. Electricity and water supply are unreliable or non-existent in many areas.  - Local governments like Ihiala, Nnewi South, and parts of Aguata have been left to fend for themselves.  Meanwhile, the government parades propaganda about “community donations” to APGA campaigns. Who are these donors? Are they contractors who collected road-repair funds but delivered nothing and now paying “tribute” for protection? If these donations are real, let them publish the names and amounts. Until then, it’s nothing but election-season deceit.

The Lies, the Handouts, and the Hunger

As election day nears, the same politicians who failed us will return, offering ₦5,000 or ₦6,000 to buy your vote. But think about it:  Do you sell your conscience for one meal and stay hungry for four more years?  Vote-buying is not empowerment; it is economic suicide. The moment you trade your future for cash; you surrender your right to complain.  This election must be about ending rigging, rejecting vote-buying, and restoring integrity. Ndi Anambra must say, “Enough!"

The Choice Before Us

If you want security restored, your choice is clear, if you want roads rebuilt, your choice is clear if you want affordable healthcare for your parents and children, your choice is clear then your choice is clear, and clear again.

Vote for Dr. George Moghalu and the Labour Party.

Dr. Moghalu has a record of performance and foresight. As Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, he pioneered the plan to make Onitsha a container port, including environmental studies for dredging the River Niger, a move that could transform Anambra into a logistics haven and trade hub for the Southeast.  He has pledged to revive the Okpara Food Security Initiative, a tested agricultural framework that can ensure food sufficiency and rural employment across our 21 local governments. He has promised to build primary health centers in every LGA, equip security outfits with modern surveillance tools, and train them on intelligence gathering while ensuring education reform that invests in teachers and vocational skills.

A Proven Model for Change

Look at Abia State under the Labour Party.  In just one year, Abia’s internally generated revenue grew by over 45%, civil servants are being paid on time, and roads once abandoned for decades are being rebuilt. If Labour can transform Abia, imagine what Dr. Moghalu and the Labour party will do for Anambra… a state with stronger commerce, talent, and diaspora support.

Our Light Must Shine Again

Anambra was once the pride of Nigeria. The home of entrepreneurs, innovators, inventors, and thinkers. But today, we are losing that glory to neglect and insecurity. The coming election is not about party loyalty; it is not about hero worshipping, it is about survival, dignity, and a better future.

On November 8, 2025, Rise-Up for your children, your elders, and your state.  Reject propaganda. Reject fear. Reject Hunger Votes.

On November 8, 2025. Vote Dr. George Moghalu. Vote Labour Party. Vote for a safer, stronger Anambra.  Let the Light of the Nation shine again.
